Richard Prince
From his Nurse series where Prince scanned pulp romance novel covers and printed the image onto a canvas. He then paints over the image and adds a background using acrylic paint.
A slight variation on the above nurse image was used for the cover of Sonic Youths ‘Sonic Nurse’ album

The girls in Boyles paintings art often approached by the artist to model for her. She takes the original image and paints over it with her distinctive harsh burshstrokes to form a dishevelled look.
Her work is used in many magazines and she has also collaborated on a clothing range with Browns
